If you think you are paying your fees twice, or too early there may be different reasons.
Please check if you / your child have any duplicate profiles on PlayHQ - having two profiles on PlayHQ will allow you to be charged twice for the same fees. If you have duplicate profiles, please see this article for further assistance.
The most common thing to check for is the dates of your memberships, and compare these to the season you are signing up for:
At the point of registration to a season, the system checks whether the registrant's existing memberships (for Basketball Victoria's License, and Basketball Australia's Game Development Levy) will cover them for the entirety of the new season or not. If either or both existing memberships expire before the end of the season, a 365 day extension is required on applicable memberships so that they don't lapse mid-season.
For example, if you are signing up for a Summer Season (October - March) and a membership will end in November, you will need to purchase the membership again to ensure the membership covers the player all the way through to the end of the season.
Please note that a Basketball Australia (BA) Levy was introduced at the start of 2024. This is in addition to the Basketball Victoria (BV) Licence that was applicable prior to that. Therefore, there are now two different memberships at play.
You can check your membership dates in your Play HQ profile in the "Membership" Tab.
