Management Access for coaches, team managers and team organisers within the Participant Portal

This article covers management access for coaches, team managers and team organisers within the My Teams tab on the participant portal. For more information on My Teams, view the support article here.

Association and Club Administrators can enable or disable the Management Access toggle on the team page within the admin portal which, if enabled, allows Team Organisers, Team Managers and Coaches to manage lineups and statistics within the My Teams tab on the participant portal. 

Admins can also generate the competition Participation report (for Coaches, and Team Managers) and the Team Entries report (for Team Organisers) to view management access statuses.

Management access will allow Team Managers, Coaches, Assistant Coaches to:

  • Edit lineups for upcoming games

  • Edit lineups and player stats for upcoming games

  • View only access for finalised games

Management access will allow Team Organisers to:

  • Edit lineups for upcoming games

    • View only access for pending and finalised games

In an upcoming feature, Team Managers and Coaches will be able to also enter game and period scores, if given permission.

Management access is off by default for all existing roles, until changed by an administrator. All new team managers and coaches will be have management access disabled, and team organisers by default will be enabled. 

Management Access

There is a Management Access toggle within the team page on the admin portal.

Enabling this access will display a new toggle within the game centre on the participant portal.

The Public View displays what everyone sees on the public webpage.

The Manage view will allow those with access to manage lineups and statistics depending on their access and the games status. For upcoming games, only the line-ups can be edited.

For Pending games, line-ups and player stats can be edited.

For finalised games, the access is view only.

Reports

There are two reports that will help administrators identify who has been given Management Access via the participant portal.

Participation Report (competition)

The competition Participation report has a column called Mgt_access where ON represents that the setting has been enabled for the Coach or Team Manager. For more information on generating this report click here.

Team Entries report

The Team Entries report has a column called team organiser mgt_access where ON represents that the setting has been enabled for the Team Organiser. For more information on generating this report click here.
