Note
Association and Club Admins can view who has management access by generating the competition Participation Report (for Coaches, Captains and Team Managers) and the Team Entries Report (for Team Organisers).
Default Management Access
Within a competition and season, on the Teams tab, select the relevant team by clicking on the 'View' button.
There is a Management Access toggle within the team page on the Admin Portal.
For all roles the default management access is OFF. This means they will have the same viewing access as participants on My Teams.
However for a participant who is a Team Organiser the default setting is enabled (ON), this can be toggled off. Therefore on the participant portal within My Teams, Team Organisers can:
- Edit line-ups and download game sheets for upcoming games only
- View only access for pending and finalised games
Management Access Enabled (Association and Club Team Staff, including Captains)
For all Association and Club Team Managers, Coaches, Assistant Coaches and Captains (when assigned), the default setting is OFF. When enabled, in the Participant Portal, they can:
- Edit line-ups for upcoming games
- Edit line-ups, best players (if enabled) and player stats for pending games
- View only access for finalised games
- Download game sheets
For those team staff members and captains with management access enabled, when logged in www.playhq.com.au, selected their team through My Teams and viewing games they will see a toggle at the top of the page with 'Public View' and 'Manage'. For those without access, they will only see what the general public sees i.e. fixtures and game centres.
The Public View displays what everyone sees on the public game centres.
The Manage view will allow those with access to manage line-ups and statistics depending on their access and the game's status. A padlock will display whether editing access is open or closed.
Upcoming games
For upcoming games, line-ups can be selected and game sheets can be downloaded for the game.
For more information on selecting line-ups for players and coaches click here.
In Progress games
For games In Progress, the match has started.
Line-ups can be entered or amended and player stats can be edited for players in the line-up. Coach line-ups can also be selected or edited and game sheets can also be downloaded for your team only.
Note
Team Organisers with management access only have editing access for upcoming games, not in progress games.
Live Games
Games with active Live Scoring will have Management Access closed.
Pending games
For Pending games, line-ups can be entered or amended and player stats can be edited for players in the line-up. Coaches line-ups can also be selected or edited and game sheets can also be downloaded for your team only. This does not apply to Team Organisers.
Finalised games
For finalised games, the access is view only.
Management Access is enabled AND the grade setting is enabled to allow Clubs (and Club Team Staff) to enter scores.
For Club team staff, if they have management access enabled, by default they can enter line-ups and statistics and download game sheets on the participant portal. There is additional functionality, set by the association grade settings to allow club admins and their team staff to enter scores and access both teams line-ups.
Management access can be set for Team Staff and Captains on the Teams page in the Admin Portal. Within a competition and season, on the Teams tab, select the relevant team by clicking on the 'View' button.
For all Club Team Managers, Club Coaches, Club Assistant Coaches and captains (when assigned) the default setting is OFF. If management access is enabled AND clubs have the setting enabled to enter scores, on the participant portal, those with management access can:
- Edit line-ups for upcoming games
- Edit line-ups, best players (if enabled), player stats, period and game scores for pending and finalised games for their own or both teams (depending on the setting) until the lock access period after game has commenced has expired
- Download game sheets
Note

Association Team Staff (with management access) can only enter line-ups for upcoming games and line-ups and stats for pending games-until the game is final.
