Extra scores

PlayHQ allows for sports to configure their own scores and statistics and these are applied to all grades inside that sport.

In addition to their standard scoring, some sports have additional scoring options (ie. super goals, super shots) that are used in certain competitions. By enabling extra scores, the extra scoring option will be available for electronic scoring, game scores and player stats. Note: Extra scores needs to be created by the sporting body to appear in the settings.

The Extra scores feature allows an administrator to:

Enable/disable extra scores when creating or editing competition-grade default settings or individual grade settings.
Enter extra scores and standard scores on the game day page.
Enter extra score stats for the team and players on the game details page.
Viewing finalised games on the game centre that have utilised extra scores.

Enabling extra scores

Enabling extra scores will display the extra scoring option on the following screens game day, game detail page, electronic scoring (future enhancement) and on game centres.

Select the Competition Management main menu item, and then the appropriate Competition and Season tile, and then view the Grades tab. Select the grade, then the Settings tab, and Game sub-tab.

In the Extra scores section, toggle on the setting and set the Extra score type that will apply to the grade. Update & Save to apply any change.

If extra scores is disabled it can be enabled at any time no matter what status the game is in ie. upcoming, in-progress, pending or finalised.

If extra scores is enabled and the extra scoring option has not been used to score any games or capture player stats then it is able to be disabled. However, if extra scores is enabled and the extra scoring option has been used to score any games or capture player stats then a warning message will appear and the change can not be saved until the extra score has been removed from games as per the example message below.

Extra scores - Game Day

Enabling extra scores will display the extra scoring option on the game day page allowing administrators to quickly enter the game score. The example below displays games without extra scoring and games with extra scoring.
