In this release we have released the following enhancements to PlayHQ. These features are not yet enabled in Production but available for testing for sports administrators in your nominated testing environment.
Mailchimp integration
This feature will only be turned on in UAT.
PlayHQ can now integrate to your Mailchimp account and send contact information across to Mailchimp along with tags based on their registration history within PlayHQ.
An overview of the Mailchimp integration can be found here.
Create a connection
Admins are able to:
-
Navigate to a new Integration tab within General Settings
-
Log in to their Mailchimp account to create a connection to PlayHQ
-
Select Mailchimp audience to sync to
-
Disconnect their organisation from their Mailchimp account
Synchronisation of contacts
Currently, synchronisation will occur once a day over night.
Admins will be able to view the following within the integration area:
-
Sync Status
-
Last synced
Within the Mailchimp account linked to the organisation, admin will be able to view the following contacts/details:
-
Only the primary account holder details of participants are synced to Mailchimp; individual participants or additional parent/guardian contact details are not synchronised;
-
The following details are synchronised for each contact along with the tags: Email, Date First Registered, First Name, Last Name, Mobile, Address, Suburb, State, Postcode, Country;
-
If the contact does not exist in Mailchimp already, PlayHQ will create one in Mailchimp. If it does exist, the contact’s details are updated in Mailchimp.
Tags
Within Mailchimp, admins will be able to view tags associated to each contact based on their PlayHQ participation records.
Mailchimp contacts are based on the PlayHQ account holder’s profile, so if an account holder has multiple dependents they will have the combined tags for all of their dependents.
See here for applicable tags that will be applied.
