Accessing Game Sheets

Overview

Game sheets contain comprehensive details for a game including player line-ups and assigned coaches and team managers. They can be downloaded and printed out by administrators in the admin portal or coaches and team managers (if given permission) in the participant portal. The print-outs also allow volunteers or game officials to manually record scores and results for a game if the game is not being scored electronically.

 

Game sheet grade and game settings

There are several settings available across both Game and Grade settings that will have an impact on 1) the game sheet that is used for a game in the grade and 2) the data that is presented in a downloaded game sheet for a game in the grade.

 

Please note that this article will focus on the Game and Grade settings, however, the equivalent settings can also be configured as Game Default and Grade Default settings on the relevant Competition. This will allow a default value for the Game and Grade setting to be set as Grades are created, as per normal.

 

Game setting

There are two (2) Game Settings that are relevant to the game sheet.

1. Game sheet template
2. Only display participants on gamesheet when lineup is selected

You may choose a game sheet template (if multiple are available in your tenant) to use for games in a given Grade. 

 

Only display participants on gamesheet when lineup is selected

The following will happen when a game sheet is downloaded for a game in the grade with this setting...:

• Enabled - participants will only populate a downloaded game sheet if they have been added in the lineup. If no one has been added to a team's lineup, no participants will display on the downloaded game sheet.
• Disabled - if no lineup has been set for a team, all participants allocated to a team will populate a downloaded game sheet for the team.

 

Grade setting

There is one (1) Grade Setting that is relevant to the game sheet.

The following will happen when a game sheet is downloaded by a club admin or coach/team manager that has been granted 'Manage' access for a game in the grade with this setting...:

• Enabled - a lineup for both teams will populate a downloaded game sheet (depending on the "Only display participants on gamesheet when lineup is selected" setting value / whether or not a lineup is selected for each team)
• Disabled - only the lineup for the club admin / participant with manage access' team will populate a downloaded game sheet (again, this will depend on the "Only display participants on gamesheet when lineup is selected" setting value / whether or not a lineup is selected for that team).

⚠️ Note: a full access admin at the Association (or above) can download game sheets that will include both teams i.e. this setting does is not applicable to them.

 

Generating game sheets

Game sheets can be generated from two locations:

1. from the Game Day landing page
2. from a game's Game Details page
3. from the Game's page in the My Teams > Manage area of the participant portal

⚠️ Note: up to 30 sheets can be generated at once.

 

Generating Game Sheets from Game Day

Select the Game Day main menu item, and you will be presented with game/s fixtured for today's date.

If you are searching for games on a different day, use the Calendar icon to select the relevant date. Games can also be filtered to show All grades or a specific grade only. 

Select the checkbox to the left of the game or games you'd like to generate a game sheet for. You can also select the checkbox in the column heading row to the left of the 'Time' heading to 'select all'. Finally, select the 'Generate Game Sheet' button:

Game sheets will be generated and they will be populated accordingly based on the settings discussed earlier on this page.

 

Generating Game Sheets from Game Details Page

Navigate to the Game Details page of any game and select the 'Download Game Sheet' link:

A game sheet will be generated and they will be populated accordingly based on the settings discussed earlier on this page.

 

Generating Game Sheets from Game's page in the My Teams>Manage area

As a participant with 'Manage' access to a team, navigate to the game within the My Teams>Manage area of the Participant Portal and select the 'Download Game Sheet' link:

A game sheet will be generated and they will be populated accordingly based on the settings discussed earlier on this page.
