As you undertake to register as a player and arrive on the Fees & Products page during the registration process, you may be requested to pay the Basketball Victoria Annual Licence fee.
The PlayHQ platform determines if you are due to pay the membership fee according to details the platform holds on the participant's previously paid licences, the dates of the season you are registering to, and the type of participant you are registering (registering as a player, referee, coach or team manager). Only players are required to hold a valid Basketball Victoria Annual Participant Licence.
If you believe that you should not be due to pay a licence fee that is presented to you during your registration, do not proceed to pay. Instead, please contact the organisation that you are registering to (typically this will be to an association or club - their contact details will be displayed in the footer section of the online registration process).
The Basketball Victoria Annual Participant Licence (affiliation) covers anyone wanting to participate in a Basketball Victoria sanctioned competition, program or event - allowing a participant to play as many times as they like annually across any affiliated association in Victoria. Basketball Victoria provides a level of insurance to all registered participants of affiliated associations and clubs.
Basketball Victoria’s insurance provider is V-Insurance Group (Corporate Authorised Representative of Willis) and details regarding the level of coverage can be found via the V-Insurance Basketball website.
Associations and clubs may charge their own fees for administration and service.
