Exception dates are individual days, or a date range, that the fixture generation process will exclude games/rounds from being assigned to. There are a few important points to consider when setting exception dates:
- Exception dates can be set while you're generating your fixture or can be edited after a fixture has been generated.
- You can choose a range of dates or a single day.
- Multiple exception dates can be added.
- Exception dates can also be created and managed at the season level.
Viewing and adding exception dates for a grade
Once you've generated your fixture, you may view a grade's exception dates by selecting the appropriate Competition and Season tile, then the 'View Fixture' button for the appropriate grade, and finally the 'Settings' tab and then the 'Fixturing' sub-tab.
Exception dates can be added by selecting the 'Edit Exception Dates' button.
Any season exception dates created after the fixture was generated will need to be activated (ticked) for the exception date/s to then apply. Make the appropriate selection and then select the 'Review Dates' button to preview the changes, and then select 'Generate' to apply the changes to your fixture.
Allocating a game to an exception date
The PlayHQ system allows a game to be manually assigned by an administrator to any date after a fixture has been generated. This includes the ability to assign a game to be played on an exception date. However, in this situation the administrator will be notified that the date chosen falls on an exception date before you save the game:
