Electronic scoring for your teams matches is now available via PlayHQ apps. Eligible scorers can access the eScoring platform directly from the apps, streamlining the process and eliminating unnecessary steps.
Eligibility Criteria
Those who currently have access to electronic scoring for their organisation will now be able to access scoring via the relevant apps.
To use eScoring within the apps, you must meet the following criteria:

Must be eligible to eScore games (see eligible user roles)

Must be affiliated with the organisation to score the game
- Must have permission from association at a competition and grade level

Participant with management access (can only score for assigned teams)
Accessing eScoring
For scorers eligible to score a game, they can now access it within the app’s Game Centre and will see an Score Game button. This button appears when:

The game is scheduled to start within the next hour.

The game is pending or in progress (CTA remains visible for up to 24 hours after the scheduled start time).
This ensures that users with the appropriate permissions can submit game results without hassle.
Scoring and Finalising Game Results
Using the eScoring platform within the PlayHQ apps follows the same process as accessing it via a mobile browser, with two key differences:

Users cannot exit the game within the eScoring platform – this prevents users from navigating away and getting lost.

Submitting the game result and completing or skipping the review will automatically close the eScoring platform and return users to the app’s Game Centre.
