The following features shall be released on the 29 June 2021. Some features have been released to partners testing environments only and are not yet enabled in Production (shall be enabled in a future release)
Locking Profile Fields
In order to stop participants from being able to circumnavigate Profile Matching and business logic related to Life Bans and Competition Transfers with merged profiles, the ‘First Name’, ‘Last Name’ and 'Date of Birth’ fields will now be locked once a user completes this information for the first time.
Whilst these fields will be locked and unable to be updated by the participant during registration or in their profile, updates will be possible via a support request. As we work with each of our sporting partners to ensure the process to update this information is efficient we will not be activating this feature in our production & UAT environment.
The introduction of profile locking will have the have the following impact:
During Registration
Scenario 1 - Primary Profile registering for the first time:
-
When a user first signs up to PlayHQ they will be asked to provide their First name and Last Name in addition to other fields required to create their account.
-
When the user registers to a competition or program using their primary profile for the first time, they will no longer be able to edit their First and Last name, as they will be locked.
-
The Date of Birth field will be editable as it has not been entered previously, as date of birth is not required when creating an account
Scenario 2 - Dependant Profile registering for the first time:
-
When the user registers to a competition or program using a dependant profile for the first time the First Name, Last Name and Date of Birth fields will not be locked as that data has not been entered previously.
Scenario 3 - Primary or Dependant Profile registering for a subsequent time:
-
When the user registers to a competition or program using their primary or dependant profile/s for a subsequent time, they will no longer be able to edit the First Name, Last Name or Date of Birth fields as these fields will be locked.
In Participant Profile
Scenario 1 - Primary profile edit view when DOB hasn’t been provided
-
When the user navigates to their profile dashboard and their date of birth has not been provided, they will be able to enter their date of birth, however their First Name and Last Name fields will be locked and they will not be able to update these fields. If updates are required to this information a user will be required to submit a support request.
Scenario 2 - Primary or Dependant profile edit view when DOB has been provided
-
When the user navigates to their profile dashboard and their date of birth has been provided, their First Name, Last Name and date of birth will be locked and they will not be able to update these fields within their profile. If updates are required to this information a user will be required to submit a support request.
