The following article pertains to the PlayHQ powered mobile app suite, including MyHoops and NetballHQ. If this feature is not available to you yet, it may be because the Sport does not have a PlayHQ powered App, or the feature has not been turned on yet. 

 

Creating the post

Before you get started, as an administrator you must have one of the following permissions 

  1. Clubs - Full Access Admin
  2. Associations - Full Access Admin

Navigate to the Posts tab on the Navigation bar in the Admin Portal.

Click on New Post will display a range of fields to complete with the copy you wish to display on the Post.

Posts that appear on a public page will be visible for all users, not just participants to a club/association.

Saving Drafts

Administrators can save a post to Drafts, if you dont wish to publish immediately.  

Complete all mandatory fields, and then click on Save Draft.

The Draft will appear within the list view via the posts navigation if admins wish to return at a later time.

Publishing your post 

Publish your post by selecting Publish via the top right navigation.

A confirmation module will appear, requiring confirmation and clicking Publish again before the post will appear instantaneously.

Once the post is published, it will display in the participants newly created Activity Feed on the relevant Mobile App. The participant will also receive a Push Notification provided they meet the following criteria. 

  1. Affiliated to the club or association making the post
  2. Affiliated to the role selected by the club or association
  3. Has the relevant App downloaded (NetballHQ or MyHoops)
  4. Is authenticated/logged into their PlayHQ account on the the App. 

Editing a post after publishing 

Administrators will be able to edit posts at any point in time after they are published. Please note you cannot revert back to a draft, and then re-publish. 

From the Posts Summary list, click on the Edit button of the post you wish to change.

Make the adjustment to the Post, and then click Update & Publish.

Please note this will not 

  • Send another push notification to participants
  • Update the order of a participants activity feed will not change, it will still order posts by Created Date

Archiving a Post 

Administrators have the option to Archive the post after publishing. This will remove the post from the app and make it inaccessible for anyone.

To archive, Click Edit, and then scroll to the bottom of your post and select Archive.

A confirmation modal will appear before you can officially archive the post.

Editing Logs 

Posts and the events that are triggered by an administrator will be tracked under Edit Logs.

If an administrator Saves, Publishes or Archives a Post this activity will be recorded in the Edit Log.

The information that will display includes the administrator who made the update and the date it was completed.
