We are excited to announce the below features will be released in PlayHQ UAT environment on Friday 10th November 2023 and production on Tuesday 14th November 2023..

ALL SPORTS
Feature Description 

Allocation & Clash Management

We will now display all games within a tenant that are allocated to a date/time at a venue/playing surface on the allocation calendar. This includes 3 types of games:

  • Games in the competition season you are working in will appear with a solid fill, as per normal.
  • Games that belong to another competition season for your association will appear with a white fill / coloured border. 
  • Games that belong to another association will appear striped grey.

Lock Down Editing Of Inclusion Options To Specific Admin Roles

Tenants may now choose to only allow certain admin roles the ability to edit the Inclusion options found on the My Organisation > Overview > Details page.

For those tenants that decide to do this, the section will appear editable to specified roles and it will appear as read only to all other roles.

AFL, BASKETBALL, HOCKEY AND NETBALL
Feature Description 

Play-by-Play Events Within Game Centres

Play-by-play events will be published live to game centres on playhq.com when a game is live scored at the venue, and will remain as a tab for finalised games.
Note: For finalised games, these are read-only events, any updates to games scores or player statistics via the admin portal will not edit the event log recorded. 

Play-by-play includes all scoring events with a progressive score, all foul/card and non-scoring events – Against a player name and number (when applicable) and the corresponding team. Games that are not e-scored will have an empty state Play-by-Play tab: “Play by play is not available as this game was not scored live at the venue.”

Live Quarter by Quarter and Period Scores

When a game is in a grade with Period Scores enabled, these scores will also come through live on playhq.com when a game is e-scored at the venue.

AFL ONLY
Feature Description 

Clock Type

New game setting for AFL admins to choose ‘Count Up’ or ‘Count Down’ as the Clock Type. This will then drive the e-scoring clock and the clock displayed on a live game centre. The clock will continue to count up until the scorer ends the period (regardless of the set length of the period).
All new competitions created from this point on (Nov 2023) will have a default setting of ‘Count Up’.
Competitions created before Nov 2023 will have a default setting of ‘Count Down’ – Competitions rolled over from these competitions will also have the setting of ‘Count Down’.

Allow Organisations to have multiple bank accounts for payment distributions

For approved organisations, they can now set up multiple bank accounts to receive funds to.

When setting up registration fees or merchandise, organisations can then choose which bank account each fee goes into

CRICKET ONLY
Feature Description 
Run out Prior to Delivery (Mankad)

Prior to a ball being bowled, the scorer can now record a new type of run out wicket that does not count towards a ball in the over. This is to record a wicket when the bowler runs out the non-striker

Applicable to: Scorers
Application: Electronic Scoring Application 

Scorecard Wicket Validation (MyTeams)

Warns user if the team wickets does not match the number of wickets recorded in the batting scorecard or if the batting scorecard wickets does not match the bowling statistics wickets
Applications: MyTeams (Admin Portal already exists)

Applicable to: Team Managers, Coaches and Captains with Management Access 

Edit Fielder In Scorecard View

Allows scorers to update the fielder in a wicket without needing to find the specific ball.

During the break of play, the scorer can access the batting scorecard and update any fielder required

Feature Description 

Fall Of Wicket Data Webhook

Addition of a new array into the Game Summary Webhook, which will supply fall of wicket data for manually scored games.

Data points: sequenceNo, appearanceId

Target Score in Webhook

Addition of target score in the LIVE_GAME.SCORE_EVENT/LIVE_GAME.EVENT & LIVE_GAME.SCORECARD_UPDATED webhooks
